Degree Partnership Program Options Available at GU

Greenville University participates in four partnership programs to help students reach their educational goals. Check them out below, and see if there's a partnership for you!


Greenville offers a 3/2 partnership with Washington University in St. Louis for engineering.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Earn a bachelor of arts from Greenville University in biology, chemistry, or physics in three years.
  2. Transfer to WashU to earn your bachelor of arts in engineering.

Our faculty have incredible engineering experience, and they have the time to work one-on-one with students because of our small class settings. WashU offers the opportunity to continue your education at one of the top 15 engineering schools in the nation. It’s an amazing opportunity, and our students have a history of success and preparedness!

Pastoral Leadership Track

With the pastoral leadership track at Greenville University and Seattle Pacific University, you can earn two degrees in five years.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Complete your bachelor of arts in theological studies or ministry in three and a half years at GU.
  2. Transfer to SPU to earn your master of arts in Christian leadership in just a year and a half!

Why the Pastoral Leadership Track?
Streamline your education! You can save at least a year of school by participating in this accelerated program because GU and SPU work together to make sure there is NO repeated curriculum. Also, Seattle Pacific will fly out GU students interested in the program to visit campus!


With the Undergraduate Teacher Education Partnership (UTEP), you can earn a license to teach elementary school in Illinois, as well as a four-year bachelor’s degree from Greenville University.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Start your UTEP journey by applying to GU. We’ll work with you to organize your coursework with GU and your local community college.
  2. Participate in online coursework and attend evening face-to-face workshops every other week at a local community college near you.
  3. Accrue more than 300 hours of field experience in elementary classrooms.

Nursing Partnership

We have a nursing partnership with St. John’s School of Nursing, Saint Louis University School of Nursing, and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (SIU-E) School of Nursing.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Complete your degree in biology in just three years.
  2. Transfer to St. John, SLU, or SIUE to complete an accelerated bachelor’s degree in nursing.
