Greenville University covers a broad range of general coursework, but it also gives you the chance to strengthen your relationship with God. Through your studies and extracurricular activities, G.U. wants to help you encounter God in amazing ways.
At Greenville University, chapel is one event that helps express the importance of the Christian faith. Services are offered on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s at 9:30 a.m. in the Recital Hall for students and faculty to worship God through music and song.
Thursday night Vespers are lively and strive to connect with each individual. What makes it lively, you ask? Jesus does! Vespers are a great chance for you to connect with others and the Savior through a night of music and messages. This is where arms raised to Heaven are common and where the Word of Life transforms people.
The Leading Worship Team, Pursuit
The leading worship team, Pursuit, keeps the atmosphere pointing to Christ and the congregation focused in this great night of worship. They perform not only at Vespers but also at each chapel service.
Do you love music and desire to learn more about worship teams? The Worship Arts ensembles accept both music majors and non-music majors and auditions are offered at the start of each new year at Greenville University. Singers and musicians are invited to audition for Pursuit. Not a musician? Not a problem! Pursuit also needs sound techs. In addition to the school year, Pursuit travels during the summer as a touring music ministry ensemble.
What’s Stopping You?
Greenville University is where you will learn more about the Savior and worship Him not only individually, but also with a group of people. This is where the Body of Christ is united and magnified.
